Position Summary

Customer Service Officer – Qualified (Customer Service, Lifeguard, Learn to Swim)

Casual ongoing (multiple positions)

Latrobe City Council are looking for Qualified Customer Service Officers (CSO) who are passionate about service delivery with customer experience at the forefront of all interactions, creating a positive and inviting environment for all user groups and patrons accessing our facilities. You will also be required to supervise the public, maintaining vigilant observation of the pool area, to ensure the maximum safety and enjoyment of Aquatic Facilities.

Customer Service Officer

  • Work in a fast-paced environment, processing payments, maintaining accurate cash handling, point of sale reconciliation, daily banking procedures, telephone and counter enquiries, and problem solving where necessary to ensure great customer service at all times.
  • Previous experience in a customer service roll will be advantageous.

Pool Lifeguard

  • In addition to great customer service, our lifeguards are required to be familiar with emergency First Aid and evacuation procedures and take action as required within Life Saving Victoria procedures.
  • Inform patrons of relevant rules and regulations as appropriate.
  • Observe all activities in the pool area and enforce centre behaviour and safety rules as required.
  • Our lifeguards are also responsible for water treatment and testing, and to carry out procedures as required by Life Saving Victoria guidelines.

Learn to Swim Teacher

  • You will hold relevant qualifications and experience in Austswim or Swimming Australia to confidently plan, develop, prepare and conduct swimming lessons to meet participant needs and Latrobe Leisure guidelines.
  • Capable of providing lesson plans for replacement teachers in case of absence.
  • Establish professional and positive relationships with parents/guardians and children.
